What Types of Lessons are Available?

We offer lessons for all types of players; beginner, intermediate, professional, or just for fun. The type of lesson you receive will depend upon your interests, your level, and your willingness to learn. We find that the more you put into your lessons, the more you will get from them.

How long does it take to learn?

That depends on each student and varies from individual to individual. How much time do you spend practicing each day? What are your goals? Do you play any other musical instruments?

Each of these will influence how quickly you learn but most students will learn much faster with professional guidance from a teacher than attempting to learn on their own.

What teaching methods do you use?

Each of our professional instructors teach the fundamentals and customize the learning to the student’s ability and desires. Instruction is one on one, private instruction for 30 minutes once per week.

What is a good age to start taking lessons?

A good time to start is when you have the desire to learn – regardless of your age. Children do best when they have the physical attributes to hold the instrument properly and follow instructions. Adults are usually more motivated and learn fairly quickly.
